Founded in 2006, Whetstone Designs is dedicated to developing quality residential and light commercial timber frame house designs and design packages. Our company has worked with more than 100 clients on projects ranging from simple entry porches to full-frame homes of more that 5,000 square feet. About Brice Cochran
Whetstone Designs' founder and principal designer Brice Cochran has been working in the timber frame industry for eight years. At the University of North Carolina he studied Philosophy and Mathematics and is the proud father of two children. Brice is also finishing his own 3,000-square-foot timber frame home near Mountain Rest, SC. He is a member of the Timber Framers Guild and the Timber Frame Business Council. In addition to maverick design skills, he also has plenty of hands-on experience as both a building project manager and a timber frame builder, so always feel free to ask him about any portion of the home building process.
